Green lemonade is a refreshing alkalizing alternative to regular, sugar-laden lemonade. This lemonade has the one major health advantage of lacinto kale, a powerhouse of anti-oxidants and chlorophyll. It helps to use a high-speed blender like a VitaMix, but that’s not absolutely necessary. If you’re using a consumer-grade blender, it’s best to tear up the kale into small quarter-size pieces before blending.
What you need:
2 cups filtered, alkaline water
2 Tbs. fresh lemon juice or organic bottled lemon juice
2 cups Lacinto kale leaves
15 drops liquid stevia
1 tsp. grated ginger (optional)
1 cup crushed ice
1. Blend first 4 ingredients. Taste and adjust according to your tastes.
2. Add ice and blend.
